FLYING ON DRONEPORT

Droneport Eemshaven has an independent and open access model and is, under certain conditions, accessible to affiliated participants. Use can be made of the facilities offered by the Droneport Eemshaven.

Droneport Eemshaven is located in Heliport Eemshaven with drone test activities, application-oriented training and drone operations for the port, local industry and onshore and offshore energy. Since the airspace is shared with manned air traffic, helicopters, strict agreements have been made with air traffic control regarding flying drones at Heliport Eemshaven. As operator, DroneQ Aerial Services will play a directing role in the design, construction and operations of the Droneport Eemshaven and ensure that safe and constructive drone activities are developed and carried out.

We would like to emphasize that it is also possible to fly in Eemshaven without using the Droneport Eemshaven. The Droneport Eemshaven has no monitoring or enforcement function!

For further information about participation in the Droneport Eemshaven, please use the form on this page.

AIRSPACE EEMSHAVEN

The airspace in the vicinity of Eemshaven is public airspace where everyone can fly, with due observance of the applicable laws and regulations.

It is a complex airspace with restrictions and many points of interest. For example, there is a no-fly zone for drones with a radius of 1200m around the heliport, a large part of the port and industrial area is prohibited for the Open Category, it is a low-flying area, Natura2000 with official breeding grounds as a special feature, many wind turbines and other high obstacles, railway and other conditions with restrictive objects.

Do not forget to ask permission from the port authorities if you take off or land from the port area! That is independent of the rules regarding airspace!

We advise you to familiarize yourself with local laws and regulations. Enforcement is strict and good flight preparation can save you a lot of inconvenience. You can orient yourself on, for example, the Aeret map: click here

Privacy declaration

The privacy of our customers and partners is important to Droneport Eemshaven. We only use your personal data to manage your account, to provide our products and services to you and to inform you about our products and services, where you have given permission to do so. We are committed to the protection, confidentiality and integrity of your personal data and will do everything reasonably possible to protect it. This privacy statement provides an overview of which personal data we collect when you purchase products and services from us, why we need this data and how we use the information.

OUR SERVICES

We provide drone operation services, software and hardware from suppliers, consultancy services, installation and implementation services, training and education and support services. This privacy statement applies to these services.

WHAT PERSONAL DATA ARE COLLECTED

We need certain personal data in order to provide you with the best possible products and services and to inform you about our products and services. Some of this information is provided by you directly, for example when you create an account or request a quote. When you request an account or a quote, we process the following data:

  • First and last name;
  • Salutation (Mr./Mrs. Etc.);
  • E-mail address;
  • Landline and mobile phone number;
  • Business address;
  • Company Name;
  • Business unit;
  • Function;
  • Payment and billing information, such as bank account number, Chamber of Commerce number and VAT number;

RPAS OPERATIONS

The following is taken into account when flying over contiguous buildings. The points below are also mentioned in the flight plan respectively the flight order:

  • At least 7 (seven) weeks in advance, the relevant municipality and the government will be informed about the flight to be performed. The flight plan, flight assignment and risk analysis are also provided to both institutions. (The municipality will publish the intended flight.)
  • At least 6 (six) weeks in advance, the residents will be informed about the flight to be performed. Residents are also given the opportunity to submit any objection.
  • An information meeting will take place at least 4 (four) weeks in advance. During this meeting, the residents concerned are fully informed about the flight to be performed. Among other things, the following is reported:

Droneport Eemshaven may process personal data based on compliance with an agreement with customers. However, photographs of individuals may in certain cases fall under the biometric data category and in that case constitute special personal data. Different rules apply for this. In that case, compliance with an agreement is not sufficient reason to be allowed to process this data.

Droneport Eemshaven can make use of agreements with both the owner of the building and the user of the building in which permission is given that images showing personal data may be processed. Consent is in all cases a valid reason to be allowed to process personal data. The use of a controlled ground area prevents unauthorized people from entering the flying area. This also increases the risk of people being photographed against their will (although unintentionally).

A blurring tool is used on every photo taken to make windows, faces, license plates and other personal data unrecognizable. However, the removal of personal data also falls under the processing of personal data. For this reason, a well-founded reason is still required to process this personal data. Naturally, the residents have the right to have (limited) access to the images taken.
